Donald Trump First to Drive Audi R8 in the USA

Palm Beach, Florida. Real Estate tycoon Donald Trump is the first person in the USA to drive Audi’s new ultra sports car Audi R8 for his personal use.
The German luxury car manufacturer Audi delivered the new Audi R8 to the multimillionaire during a private Gala which was held last Saturday night at the exclusive Mar-a-Lago Club, in Palm Beach, Florida. The private reception hosted by Mr. Trump was followed by a viewing of the Audi R8. Immediately following the reception was a concert by the renowned Liza Minelli.
In addition to the Audi R8 that will be driven exclusively by Donald Trump, Audi also delivered two premium SUVs Audi Q7 4.2 FSI to the business mogul for his family’s use and some of his special guests. Accompanying Donald Trump and his wife Melania were, among others, ex President John F. Kennedy’ nephew and founder of Best Buddies Foundation, Anthony Shriver Kennedy, German singer Connie Francis, TV celebrity Regis Philbin, and Audi of America’s Vice President Johan de Nysschen.
“It is a privilege for us to present Donald Trump with the first Audi R8 delivered in the United States,” said De Nysschen. “The elegance and sophistication that is synonymous to Trump are values that are also present in the sports car, which we believe will become an icon in the automotive industry.
” A central FSI V8 engine delivering 420 horsepower catapult the Audi R8 from 0 to 100 km/h in only 4.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 301 km/h. The Audi R8 will arrive in United States showrooms in the fall of 2007. Located in Palm Beach, Florida, the Mar-a-Lago estate was opened officially in January 1927 after being built as the winter residence of Marjorei Merriweather Post. In 1985, Donald J. Trump purchased the property placed on the National Register of Historic Places and used the estate as a private residence for ten years.
In 1995, Mar-a-Lago became established as Mar-a-Lago Club, a venue to host numerous events for the Palm Beach society, among them the wedding of Donald J. Trump with his wife in 2004 and the annual International Red Cross Ball, one of the most exclusive annual white tie, tails, and tiara balls in the world.
