At Southern Sales car rentals, ours is a history of providing service excellence and of the vision to look beyond the limits of vehicle leasing and to transform our business into a total provider of corporate ground transportation services.
Established in 1977 as a division of our parent company Southern Sales ans Service Company Ltd, Southern Sales car rentals was the response to what we identified as a need within the corporate sector clients for a reputable and reliable provider of vehicle rentals or long-term leasing agreements.
Our Lease and Rental Division now represents a significant facet of a highly successful group of companies which - under the management and guidance of our late founder the Late Aziz Ahamad, his son Nazir and grandsons Imtiaz, Shiraz, and Reyaz, now covers all aspects of the motor vehicle industry from sales of new and pre-owned vehicles to rentals and leasing to financing.
Our entrance into the rental and leasing market proved to be so successful that by 1992, the Lease and Rental Division had expanded to five locations across Trinidad with offices in El Socorro to serve commercial clients in the City Capital of Port of Spain and the East-West Corridor; in Point Lisas and Point Galeota to serve the exponentially growing base of industrial and energy sector clients located there, and in Trinidad and Tobago's industrial capital, San Fernando.
In addition to these offices, we also established a satellite office at the Hilton Trinidad to meet the needs of the business visitors to our shore(which was later integrated into our El Socorro operations).
As the Group's business grew, so did the Lease and Rental Division and in the year 2000 escalated to 2nd position in the vehicle rental and leasing sector. Two years later, in 2002, we took the decision to expand our portfolio of services and introduce our Executive Airport Transport Service to cater to the growing trend of business travel into and out of the country as well as our Car and Driver Service.
Also, ever-responsive to the call of the corporate community, we have since added to our list of services and now offer the most comprehensive range of Corporate Ground Transportation services offered by any one company in addition to the widest range of vehicle rental and leasing options.
Our keen insight into the unique needs of our business sector client and our ability to go beyond the call to respond to them is what has made us the undisputed leader in the ground transportation services sector.
